Donovan, Klimczak & Company’s partners have long been committed to improving the Akron Fairlawn community through volunteerism and outreach. This spirit was initiated by founder Harry Donovan through more than two decades of service to OPEN M (Opportunity Parish Ecumenical Ministry), an organization that helps the needy in southwest Akron. After joining the firm, Ted Klimczak carried on DKC’s mission of being a good neighbor by serving on the board of OPEN M. In 2000, he was elected president of the Fairlawn Area Chamber of Commerce, where he initiated the Circle of Excellence for core members. A natural leader, Ted also has served on the boards of both Tri-County Jobs for Ohio Graduates and the Akron Urban League. Donovan, Klimczak & Company’s long-standing support of non-for-profit organizations has included providing complimentary office space to help launch Stewart’s Caring Place, an outreach organization for those battling cancer.
